Hawaiian Punch - Colocasia Esculenta, commonly called taro or elephant ear, is a tuberous, stemless, frost-tender perennial of the arum family which typically grows 3-6' tall and as wide. The Hawaiian Punch Elephant Ear is a gorgeous cultivar with beautiful, deep burgundy stems and veining and light green, arrow-shaped leaves.

Hawaiian Punch Colocasia Esculenta performs best in sun or part shade in organically rich, moist to wet soils. Elephant Ears love water and nutrients. Provide a sheltered location to protect the decorative leaves from strong winds. The Hawaiian Punch will produce best leaf color production in sun.

Elephant ears may go dormant during winter months. Don't be too alarmed if the leaves turn brown and fall away. If you notice this, slow down on the watering and cut off some of the extra leaves so it can focus its energy on root development and come back bigger/stronger for the next season.

You will receive one (1) live Colocasia bulb with plant growth being approx 10-16" tall. It will be shipped with bare roots to reduce shipping charges. Its roots will be kept moistened and wrapped for transit.

I received my order the day after my delivery date. The item did not match the description. There were no leaves on the stems . Three of the larger stems had turned yellow.
